We did not know what to expect, given the hardships many have endured in 2020 due to COVID-19. You showed that even under the worst of circumstances, you gave to help the poorest among us, the stranger new to this country, its language, and customs. Your generosity helps to make it possible for us to continue to help those arriving at our doors in 2021 needing a hand up – including young students as featured in the appeal.
