Join the Circle of Hope

Be a Hero for La Posada

“I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.”
~Maya Angelou

You can be a hero for La Posada Providencia’s clients many times over by joining Circle of Hope. You will be amazed at how quickly your monthly donations create life-changing outcomes.  They directly improve the lives of the people we serve and potentially the communities in which they will eventually resettle.

Circle of Hope is an incredible opportunity to deliver hope and resources that can make a lasting impact to immigrant families and individuals who recently arrived in this country seeking asylum or other lawful residence in the United States.

Becoming a monthly Circle of Hope donor means steady and reliable income to La Posada at a much lower cost than other fundraising methods. Your funds are put to work immediately to respond to daily needs, to build our programs, and to plan for the future. That means your donations are constantly working, day in and day out, giving our clients the services they need to move forward and build new lives in this country.

WITH YOUR SUPPORT, there is no limit to what can be achieved!

A monthly pledge of $10

can be used to support La Posada’s environmental sustainability practices while also helping clients gain knowledge and new skills to start their lives in our country—and live more sustainably. By engaging in various sustainability practices and observations, clients learn composting, recycling, reusing and reducing waste.

A pledge of $25

helps us build our volunteer capacity for our 24/7 shelter, for which the needs far exceed the capacity of La Posada’s internal staff. A robust volunteer program requires efforts to retain and recruit; related expenditures can include costs for mileage, supplies, promotions, and hospitality.

 A larger pledge of $40 – $50

can offer new residents a head start to successful resettlement in the United States through La Posada’s English as Second Language (ESL) and Life-Skills education. ESL and life-skills lessons complement one another. ESL provides practice in the classroom and life skills integrate language with practical applications.

And a most generous pledge of over $50 – $100

can support our monthly utilities and telephone bill or provide tangible support for a client with nourishing food, safety, clothing and shoes, shelter supplies; e.g. household cleaning and laundry supplies, personal supplies; e.g. toiletries, baby supplies, medicines. For example, $50 or more will purchase a month’s supply of diapers for one baby and $100 or more can make a significant contribution toward supplying journey kits for clients’ trips to their final destination. These kits can include water, snacks, toiletries, and a prepaid gift card for food and emergencies.
