AIM Media Texas, which owns the local publications Valley Morning Star, The Monitor and The Brownsville Herald, recently launched this fundraising effort to help the most needy population in the Rio Grande Valley.

“The mission of AIM Media Texas Charities is to annually raise and distribute funds to community service agencies providing assistance to the hungry, homeless and needy population across the Rio Grande Valley,” according to the AIM Media website.

La Posada is humbled to join other organizations who will benefit from this charitable endeavor, including Loaves and Fishes, Family Crisis Center, The Salvation Army, United Way, Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, Silver Ribbon Community Partners, Women Together/Mujeres Unidas, Aurora House Foundation, Harlingen Neighborhood Food Pantry, Ozanam Center, Friendship of Women, and Good Neighbor Settlement House, among others.

“It is a great day for all the Rio Grande Valley organizations who give their best efforts to help the most needy in our community,” said La Posada Development Coordinator Alma Gonzalez-Rock. “We can’t help but be proud and grateful to AIM Media Texas for this wonderful philanthropic gesture.”
