The guests’ holistic wellness at La Posada is prioritized through the various programs and resources offered to all who walk through its doors. Recently, our guests began a six-week Wellness Program in hopes of improving their physical and mental health. The Wellness Program gives the guests five days of exercises they can choose to do. Also, they are given mindfulness activities, general health tips, and self-care ideas. The mindfulness activities are geared toward reducing symptoms of anxiety and helping the guests relax. The Wellness Program’s goal is to encourage the guests to increase their physical activity by doing activities that they like, such as running, playing soccer, and riding a bike, while also giving attention to their mental wellness. The first day of the program was Thursday, January 28, 2021. The guests walked, jogged, stretched, played soccer, and finished with a mindfulness activity that focused on breathing. La Posada is hopeful that this program will help improve the guests’ overall well-being while giving them helpful tools that they can use in the future.
