Eduardo Ragolta is a champion chess player and will soon be teaching the game at the San Benito School District.
“Everyone from my country is coming here for the American Dream,” he said.
Much like the game his life has been a series of calculated moves.
He left everything back in Cuba to pursue his dreams of teaching the game of chess in the United States.
“Because I am a professional chess player, I was invited to Mexico, and from Mexico DF I went to Laredo,” he explained.
