Lifting Up With Hands of Help

The Angry Tias and Abuelas is a collective group of women from the Rio Grande Valley dedicated to helping migrants arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border.  The Angry Tias have a strong passion and commitment to feeding the hungry, visiting the imprisoned and comforting the grieving people stranded by U.S immigration policy at our southern border. Their presence is prominent amongst this vulnerable population.  They have also extended their good works to La Posada Providencia in “welcoming the stranger” in a variety of ways.

The Angry Tias have donated funds, they have volunteered to transport clients, and supported our biggest fundraiser, just to name a few.  Tuesday, April 28th was no different for Angry Tias or La Posada.  It was a great team effort on their part in creating care bags for our clients.  Each bag contains a handmade pillow, a blanket, snacks and $20.00 to support them on their journey after leaving the shelter.  La Posada is extremely grateful to the Angry Tias for all their efforts and continued assistance to our shelter.

We are forever grateful for their continued support.  Thank you Angry Tias and Abuelas!
