On Sunday, September 22, 2019, a Coffee Morning with home-baked scones and pastries was held at St. Mary’s Pastoral Center in Mount Bellew, County Galway, Ireland, as a benefit for La Posada Providencia in San Benito, Texas.
This fundraiser was organized by Tom Cunningham and his niece, Katie Naughton, together with other family members. Tom, who has visited and tutored at La Posada, is the brother of Sister Thérèse Cunningham, SHSp, who is Client Mentor and ESL Coordinator at La Posada.
The Sunday morning Tea/Coffee gathering was both a fundraiser and for La Posada and an opportunity for the attendees to become better acquainted with La Posada’s mission and ministry on its 30th Anniversary.
We are deeply grateful to the organizers Tom and Katie and to all those who helped make this fundraiser a success. Over €2000 (euros) were donated, which adds up to over $2,100! Thank you to our friends at St. Mary’s
