Marco A. Castillo
Marco A. Castillo is a retired Police Chief. He served the City of Harlingen for over 25 years. Marco is a practicing Behavioral Therapist with 17 years of private practice and a State Licensed Insurance Agent and Financial Advisor. Marco and his wife were foster parents for five years and provided a home for approximately 200 boys during that time. Marco shared that his goal in life has always been to make a positive difference in people’s lives. He looks forward to working with La Posada and helping the organization grow stronger. Marco is a dedicated and respected community member and is a valuable addition to the organization. La Posada is delighted and pleased to welcome him as a new board member.
Joyce M. Hamilton
Joyce M. Hamilton is a retired Adult Educator and College Reading Instructor. She is the co-founder of the asylum seekers support group Angry Tias and Abuelas of the Rio Grande Valley (RGV). She is currently Secretary of the board of Friends of Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, and member of Texas Master Naturalist RGV Chapter. Joyce stated that providing support for migrant individuals and families is close to her heart. Before joining as a board member Joyce was associated with La Posada for two years through volunteer efforts and helped with transportation arrangements for our guests. Joyce is a dedicated and passionate community member. It is with great confidence and excitement La Posada welcomes Joyce as a new board member.
