Become a beacon of hope in our community by becoming a sponsor of La Posada Providencia’s 2016 annual fundraiser.
La Posada, a shelter for indigent immigrants, asylees and asylum seekers, will host its annual Hands & Hearts Brunch and Auction at La Sierra Event Center in Harlingen on Saturday, February 6, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Brunch will be served between 10 – 10:45 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the homeless men, women and children served by the shelter.
We anticipate attendance to Hands & Hearts to be at more than 300 guests. Your sponsorship will not only be known at our event, but also in all of our publicity materials, including news releases, social media and on our website. This is your opportunity to be recognized for helping those who have suffered greatly in the pursuit of freedom and a better life.
For more than a quarter century, La Posada has been called upon to provide temporary and emergency shelter for immigrants, asylum seekers and asylees recently processed by U.S. immigration authorities. We work with law enforcement, immigration officials, social service agencies and attorneys to ensure these men, women and children do not end up on the streets.
Our clients are provided with safe, clean shelter, food, local transportation, and supportive services to help them take the necessary steps for achieving self-sufficiency and responsible integration into U.S. culture. It is because of this commendable work in the community that the Sisters of Divine Providence, staff, and volunteers at La Posada were named the San Benito News Citizens of the Year in 2014.
If you would like to be a part of this exciting mission, then become a sponsor or place an ad in our event TODAY.
La Posada Providencia, founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence, is a ministry for people in crisis from around the world, who are seeking legal refuge in this country. The shelter staff provides a safe and welcoming home; mentors to promote self-sufficiency and cultural integration; and imparts values which witness God’s Providence in our world.
