Here at La Posada, we welcome the stranger to make positive changes for the community. Our ties with the community know no age as San Benito high school student, Kiana Partida, chose our facility for her National Honor Society Individual Service Project.
The emphasis of her project was service, which meant partaking in an act that would benefit others. By reaching out to various businesses throughout the region including, H-E-B, Nova Primary Home Care, and Vision Source, Kiana was able to amass over two dozen essential bags for our clients. We always welcome the civic engagement of young people as all the staff at La Posada understand how it improves their proximity to multicultural interactions. Kiana’s interactive project resulted in discharged clients having the essential materials to comfortably make it to their resettlement destination. There is nothing more heart-warming than knowing that improving the quality of life for our clients does not stop once they leave, it only continues.
