Sisters Thérèse Cunningham, SHSp, and Dympna Clarke, SHSp, play an incredible role in La Posada Providencia’s daily operations. They care deeply about the clients and the mission of the organization. Recently, Sister Thérèse was interviewed for The Global Sisters Report. Sister was interviewed about her experiences at La Posada during the Coronavirus pandemic and various policies affecting migrants. She recalls how family separation deeply impacted a young mother staying at La Posada and how the safety protocols carried out at La Posada have thus far avoided an outbreak of the virus at the shelter. And despite the restrictions necessary for the virus, she proudly asserts that they have found ways to conduct ESL classes with clients safely. Through this interview, it is evident that she is passionate about advocating for the individuals and families served by La Posada.
